| The Zero Threshold Slot Drain provides a simply outstanding aesthetic, with discreet drainage in doorways. The drain enables large, impressive open spaces with flat transitions between living areas and ensures quality waterproofing. Available as a slot drain, with a removable 7 or 9 bar grate or with a tile insert tray. The Zero Threshold Drain Slot consists of an exterior lineal drain with a custom designed, integrated sub-sill which cradles the sliding or bi-fold door or window track to be installed. This system has been designed to work in conjunction with the simplest top hung bi-fold doors to complex and intricate four track sliding doors with fly screens. Manufactured from 316 Stainless Steel to create a strong, durable and attractive appearance that is made to last. Zero Threshold Drains | |
| Creative Drain Solutions Zero Threshold Drains are designed to provide an entirely flat, seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living and entertaining areas. The Zero Threshold Drain consists of an exterior linear drain with a custom-designed, integrated sub-sill which cradles the sliding or bi-fold door or window track to be installed. The external linear drain acts as a water barrier between the outdoor and indoor living areas. The sub-sill cradle under the door track will then collect and direct the water or condensation on the interior or exterior of the doors or windows into the external drain. The Zero Threshold Drain eliminates the “trip and wheelchair hazard” which has historically existed across doorways fitted with sliding or bi-fold doors. Suitable for:

Creative Drain Solutions require a sample of the door track to be used to ensure the sub-sill cradle is designed and manufactured correctly. The Zero Threshold Drain is manufactured to length and the drainage tray is designed to accommodate the water volumes projected. Please Note: The Zero Threshold Lineal Drain should only be used as a secondary drain, not the primary drain for outdoor entertaining and alfresco areas.
The Zero Threshold Drain can also be used for Single Entry; hinged doors which historically have a timber sill and water stop lip installed above the internal floor level. The Zero Threshold Lineal Drain is installed level with the internal floor, under the door and door jambs and extends into the entry area outside the door, acting as a water barrier between outdoor and indoor areas.
The Zero Threshold Lineal Drain is ideally suited for use with the following types of doors:
- Sliding Doors – either “top hung” doors using bottom guide tracks or sliding doors using bottom running tracks, which utilise sub-sills with weep holes to allow water to drain away from the door track sub-sills
- Bi-fold or Multi-fold Doors – generally “top hung” doors using bottom guide tracks with sub-sills with weep holes to allow water to drain away from the door track sub-sills. In certain applications, The Zero Threshold Lineal Drain can be manufactured to incorporate the bottom guide track into the “indoors” side of the lineal drain.
- Hinged Entry Door – is your standard, hinged, swinging door, or doors where a double door entry applies.
